KALIBURN ANNOUNCES NEW PROCESS - NEW PRODUCTS

Hafnium Optimizing Technology - Spirit150a and Spirit200a

3/19/07

CHARLESTON, SC – MARCH 19, 2007 – KALIBURN announces exciting new process technology aimed at reducing precision plasma operating costs and total cost of ownership. This new technology is significant enough to warrant its own description and is being referred to as "Hafnium Optimizing Technology – HfOT™". This name is a reference to the hafnium material that is an essential part of all high current density torch electrodes. Traditionally this component is gradually consumed during the plasma cutting process, requiring replacement. Its erosion can also interfere with nozzle performance. HfOT™ has drastically increased electrode life and helps to improve overall cut quality and consistency. A leading manufacturer of plasma cutting systems, KALIBURN seeks to build upon its reputation for superior plasma cutting performance while HfOT™ ensures the lowest operating cost in the industry.

HAFNIUM OPTIMIZING TECHNOLOGY

"HfOT™ is yet another reason that steel processors should consider our high current density plasma systems" commented Steven F. Hardwick, President of KALIBURN. He goes on to point out that "while others in the industry have chosen to lower the bar with reference to cut edge squareness, KALIBURN has been able to maintain the industry standard of virtually square and dross free edges while significantly lowering total cost of ownership".

Concurrently KALIBURN is pleased to announce the expansion of the Spirit product line to include the Spirit150a (150 amp) and Spirit 200a (200amp) models. These systems are fully automated high current density plasma cutting systems that include traditional KALIBURN cut quality but also incorporate the latest HfOT™ technology. They are an extension of the previously introduced Spirit275a and offer similar performance within their current range.

Established in 1985, KALIBURN has flourished from a producer of torch height control products into an industry leading manufacturer of plasma cutting systems. Headquartered in Charleston, SC, the company is committed to delivering innovative, reliable products backed by unprecedented customer service and product warranties.
